Outer West Customer Service Centre is a 'one stop shop' where you can get a broad range of services and information from the Council and other public services. For instance, you can make Council Tax enquiries, pay your rent, and get Social Services help all under one roof. The Centre opens from Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

The Exchange Group provides online learning facilities for adults who want to improve their skills in maths, English and IT. They have courses and qualifications to suit a range of people, from absolute beginners to more advanced computer users. To find out more, drop in, call or email.

MoneyWise Newcastle Credit Union is the largest community development credit union in the North East, with over 4,500 members. It is a saving and loan co-operative, where members save regularly and can take out loans at a low interest rate.
Everyone who lives or works in Newcastle and Longbenton, and their relatives, are eligible to join. It is a non-profit making body, with any surplus being returned to members as a dividend. Members save a regular amount each week, month or fortnight, and the collective savings of the credit union provide working capital from which loans are made to members.

You can take part in many activities and sessions at the Outer West Pool. Activities and facilities include swimming and lessons, aquafit, beauty treatments, a sauna, gym, cardiac rehabilitation, healthy lifestyle programmes and a community area.
Over 50's swimming sessions currently take place on Wednesday mornings from 11am to 12pm and Friday mornings from 9.30am to 12pm.

West Denton Association offers a range of activities including: indoor bowls, bridge, tai chi, taekwon do, aikido, Ladies Circle, Women's Institute, Christian Fellowship, line dancing, sequence dancing, Scottish dancing, a 50+ exercise class, an art club, and basic skills classes, such as English and maths. They also have a function hall and a range of rooms for hire.
