Where you live
You might be surprised at the number of local services you have access to, and the facilities that are available for you to use in your neighbourhood. There are several ways to find out about this information, some of which are included below.
Newcastle City Council website
The website has a section called ‘Where You Live’ which provides a wide range of information about the people to know and places to go in your local area. The information is split into the 26 wards in the city. If you are unsure which ward you live in, there is the facility to search using your postcode. The Newcastle City Council website also has information about Community Centres.
Health Signpost Directory
The Health Signpost Directory provides a quick introduction to local groups and services that offer a wide range of support, advice and activities which aim to improve your wellbeing.
Health services
The North East Primary Care Services Agency website allows you to find contact details and services provided by doctors, dentists, opticians and pharmacies within the Tyne and Wear area. You can search by area or by your postcode.
Out and about
The Get Into Newcastle website has lots of offers, discount vouchers, and information on events and things to do in Newcastle city centre.
