Bikeright

Bikeright provides cycle training through a project called Freewheeling. This is funded by Newcastle City Council. Cycle training is free to anyone over the age of 16 who lives, works or studies in Newcastle.

Training is suitable for all, from complete beginners to more experienced cyclists who would like to brush up their skills. There are 3 levels of training available:

  • Level 1: Learning to ride for complete beginners or those returning to cycling who need to brush up on their bike handling skills
  • Level 2: Introduction to cycling on roads  
  • Level 3: On-road training for those with some experience to build confidence and knowledge
