New Writing North

New Writing North works with writers to develop career opportunities, new commissions, projects, residencies, publications and live events.

New Writing North is funded to develop reading and writing activity in the North of England.

Their World Writes program is a multilingual English language creative writing group for adults (16+) who speak English as a second, or other language (ESOL).
The group welcomes ESOL speakers of all levels, and supports individuals to find new ways of expressing themselves in their mother tongue whilst exploring the creative possibilities in the connection between mother tongues and English language. It’s free to take part and no writing experience is necessary
