Newcastle United Foundation

Newcastle United Foundation provides football activities in schools and the community to improve people’s health, confidence and employability. They support disadvantaged children, young people, refugees and asylum seekers, adults and families across the region through their passion for football. They provide a health and wellbeing programme which includes

  • Free sleep workshops
  • 12th Man healthy lifestyle sessions
  • Free mental health text support service. Text ‘BAGC’ to 85258 at any time to contact a trained volunteer or clinical supervisor. Texts are anonymous and do not appear on phone bills.
  • Autism and disability friendly sports sessions
  • Walking football
  • Free weekly football and badminton sessions, for refugees over the age of 16 who are not in full time employment or education
  • advanced coaching, after school clubs, football festivals, and matchday experiences
  • NUCASTLE Community food pantry

St James’s Park is a designated Safe Place for people with learning disabilities.

City of Sanctuary Newcastle logo  Newcastle United Foundation is a recognised sports club of Sanctuary. They are a safe and supportive place for people seeking sanctuary.

 

Newcastle United Foundation is commissioned by Newcastle City Council to raise awareness of nutrition, obesity and mental health difficulties and support participation in health and wellbeing programmes.
