Newcastle United Foundation provides football activities in schools and the community to improve people’s health, confidence and employability. They support disadvantaged children, young people, refugees and asylum seekers, adults and families across the region through their passion for football. They provide a health and wellbeing programme which includes
- Free sleep workshops
- NHS health checks
- 12th Man healthy lifestyle sessions
- Free mental health text support service. Text ‘BAGC’ to 85258 at any time to contact a trained volunteer or clinical supervisor. Texts are anonymous and do not appear on phone bills.
St James’s Park is a designated Safe Place for people with learning disabilities.
Newcastle United Foundation is commissioned by Newcastle City Council to raise awareness of nutrition, obesity and mental health difficulties and support participation in health and wellbeing programmes.
