Street Zero is a partnership organisation that aims to support people to avoid sleeping rough. They want people to make a change to independent living through reconnection and tailoring services to meet individual needs. They aim to support people to find accommodation and not fall back into homelessness.
Street Zero’s ‘Count me in’ campaign asks Newcastle residents and the business community to pledge their name in support of ending rough sleeping for good in the city by 2022. As of October 2020, there were 83% fewer people sleeping rough in the city. Support the campaign. Email to request a fundraising pack.
Street Zero’s Emergency Fund, donated by the North East public and regional businesses, awarded £57,000 to Changing Lives, Tyne Housing, and Home Group for eight different projects that helped the most vulnerable people in the city during the COVID-19 pandemic. This has been further supported by Fenwick.
