The Grange Centre

The Grange Centre provides Day services to older people every weekday. You an attend for half day or full days. Meals and snacks are available.  They provide activities and entertainment. Contact them to arrange to attend the Centre yourself.

Transport to and from the centre is available for people who have mobility problems. (You can ask for a needs assessment to find out if you’re eligible for this support)

Activities include quizzes, crafts, cookery and bingo, as well as entertainment from choirs, guest speakers and regular trips out. They also arrange:

  • hairdresser and barber
  • visits from an optician
  • manicurist
  • chiropodist
  • bathing services
  • local Meals on Wheels service

Outreach service available for help at home with housework, shopping and befriending.  They can also help you to attend hospital appointments and take part in community activities.

The Grange Centre is a Winter Wellbeing Hub. They’re a warm welcoming place to spend time in Newcastle. They offer a range of support such as hot drinks, free wifi, place to charge your devices, information, advice and more. Visit Newcastle.gov.uk to see what’s available at this hub.
