Newcastle Probation Office

Newcastle Probation Office is the contact centre for the North East. The Probation Service supervises and supports people who have been in prison and are being released back into the community.

Before and after your release from prison, they help you to settle back into the community. They want to help you to stay out of prison and reduce the risk that you reoffend.

You report to probation officers regularly. They can help you to find volunteer opportunities, work, a new home and to claim benefits. They can signpost you to other support for example if you have had drug or alcohol problems, been the victim of domestic abuse, or previously been involved in sex work.

The Probation Service is a statutory criminal justice service.
