Company of Others
Company of Others is a dance theatre company based in the North East of England. They collaborate with people who have experience of being ‘othered’ by the society we live in, to co-create dance theatre experiences which highlight and share stories of the human experience through their lens.
They run:
Walker Youth Dance Project; snacks, refreshments and safe travel provided.
- 4 – 7yrs Monday 4pm to 4.30pm
- 8 – 12yrs Monday 4.30pm to 5.30pm
- 12 – 17yrs Thursday 5pm to 7pm
Company of Others Ensemble; refreshments provided.
Moving Together: A Movement project for women who are refugee and asylum experienced, and/or of the Global Majority to connect to your body, be creative and spend time with others. Food, refreshments and travel expenses provided.
- Tuesdays 10.30am – 12.30pm, every two weeks.
All groups are free to join and they always welcome new participants.
The groups receive dance technique and creative sessions to work towards yearly performances, outings and trips to the theatre are also organised and funded.
Company of Others is a Wellbeing Hub. They’re a warm welcoming place to spend time in Newcastle. They offer a range of support such as hot drinks, free Wi-Fi, place to charge your devices, information, advice and more. Read more about Wellbeing Hubs
Wellbeing Hub open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm
