Cricketqube

Cricketqube run back yard cricketing events for older people on all weather pitches.  Backyard Cricket (BYC) is a format developed by Cricketqube, inspired by those endless games in your back gardens and those quirky rules.

BYC reimagines cricket with our all-weather backyard events, complete with wheelie bins and clotheslines, taking players to their childhood. BYC doesn’t require a cricket ground – an outdoor cage or an indoor sports hall works just fine.

Senior BYC is a version of cricket for older people. Unlike regular BYC, you would have a guaranteed number of balls to face and bowl. Senior BYC is all about keeping active while having some fun.

Clock Cricket is a simple seated-cricket format. It is designed especially for older people and people with difficulties with mobility.

They also run cricket games for a much wider audience, in schools and across communities. You don’t have to be a member of a team to join, just join for the fun and to make connections.

Here in the North East they run events on Fridays across venues, including Newcastle College and Deckham Community Centre
