Denton Dene South

Denton Dene South is an ancient woodland to the west of Newcastle city centre. The ponds are home to a population of smooth and palmate newts and there is an abundance of birds and wildlife that can be seen. The geography of Denton Dene South means the paths can be steep in places so is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. The paths can be muddy, so a good pair of outdoor shoes / boots is recommended.

All parks in Newcastle are managed by Urban Green Rangers.
