Discover Jesmond 1888

Discover Jesmond 1888 is a National Heritage Lottery Fund project highlighting the history and culture of Jesmond.

They offer a free heritage trail linking two of Jesmond’s most beautiful and historic churches – St George’s, Jesmond, and Jesmond United Reformed Church. You can collect a printed version of our illustrated trail map for free from the churches or Jesmond Library. There is also an audio guide narrating the walk with sound effects to bring it to life.

They also offer an eighteen-month events programme. This will include heritage workshops, film screenings and guided tours. Most of these events will have a small cost.
