EDF Energy Trust

The EDF Energy Trust contributes to the relief of poverty with a particular focus on fuel poverty and helping families and individuals who are struggling to pay for their consumption of gas and electricity.

Applications to the Trust are accepted from current domestic account holders of EDF Energy (the person/persons named on the bill).

The Trust helps by giving grants:

  • To clear gas and electricity debts owed to EDF Energy.
  • To clear gas and electricity debts owed to other suppliers.
  • For Bankruptcy deposits/Debt Relief Orders (DRO’s),  (these payments are known as FAPs (Further Assistance Payments)).
  • purchase essential energy efficient white goods and cookers

The Trust also funds voluntary sector organisations to provide money and fuel debt services.
