Ear, Nose and Throat Services (ENT) at The Freeman Hospital

The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department at the Freeman Hospital (NUTH Trust) provides a specialist services including the Audiology and Hearing Aid Service.  This department deals with:

Ears

• Ear infections (chronic) and hearing loss
• Glue ear
• Treacher Collins syndrome and hearing loss
• Grommets
• Otosclerosis and stapedotomy

Nose and Throat

• Tonsil surgery (adults and children)
• Septal surgery
• Snoring and sleep apnoea
• Functional endoscopic sinus surgery
• Mastoid surgery
• Microlaryngoscopy
• Oesophagoscopy
• Parotid surgery
• Rhinoplasty
• Cleft lip or palate and hearing loss

ENT Outpatient Services

• ENT Casualty or Urgent Care Clinic which is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, for emergency GP referrals. This is not a walk in service.
• Audiology
• Speech and language therapy
