Joined Up North East is a 3 year PhD research project with Newcastle University, funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research. It aims to explore the health and social care pathways for LBGTQIA+ people over the age of 18 in the North East who have experienced multiple exclusion or disadvantage, such as experience of: racism, disability, homo/bi or misogynistic assault, unstable housing, domestic violence, drug/alcohol issues, mental health diagnoses, long term poverty or unemployment.
