NECA (Formally North East Council on Addictions)

NECA (Formally North East Council on Addictions) are a charity that supports people and communities with long term recovery from harmful gambling. If you’re worried about your own gambling, or if someone else’s gambling is negatively affecting you they can help. They provide gambling information, advice and support for anyone from the age of 16 years. This includes:

  • Peer led group support sessions for gambling related harms
  • Relapse prevention group support sessions for gambling related harms
  • Affected others group support sessions for anyone impacted by someone elses gambling
  • One to one confidential support for gambling harms
  • Telephone support for gambling harms
  • Support to the family or friends of the person with harmful gambling
  • Drink Drive Rehabilitation service
  • Empowering Youth – providing awarenss sessions to young people from 10-25 around gambling related harms and gambling in online gaming.  CPD accredited sessions for anyone who works with or supports young people along with parents and carers
