Newcastle’s Best Holiday Ever

Newcastle’s Best Holiday Ever is the free school holiday activity scheme in Newcastle for 4 to 16 year olds. This support is for families who receive free school meals, or meet their other eligibility criteria listed on their website.  Community organisations across Newcastle provide free activity sessions and a meal for your child.

Helping children, young people and their parents have fulfilling, active, fun-filled and healthy school holidays. You can choose from a range of fun, educational and sociable activities such as:

• sport, art, fitness, dance, cookery, nature or culture and more

The programme is ran by Newcastle City Council and supported by StreetGames. They work with community partners to give children and young people in Newcastle a happy and enjoyable school holidays. It’s funded by the Department for Education since 2019 and is part of the Holiday Activities and Food Programmes.
