Newcastle Vikings Handball Club

They are the first developmental handball club in Tyne & Wear. The club was founded in 2012 by a diverse group of people with a common objective: practice handball whilst contributing to the development of the community through sport.  Handball is a low impact activity which includes walking games.  There are men, women and younger boy and girls teams that take part in league games.  There are more than 60 players, both juniors and seniors.

Their head coach comes from Norway and has experience of playing and teaching handball.   There is now a group of other sports enthusiasts that co-founded the club.

Your first experience could be to undertake a game of walking handball. Training sessions take place at the Benfield Centre for people aged 16+.
