North East School of AhlulBayt (NESAB)

NESAB was established in 2014 as a voluntary independent organisation of Shia Muslim families in North East of England (an Unincorporated Association), which runs an Out of School Activity Club in the form of a Sunday religious school for children aged 5-15 years old who are Shia Muslim.

NESAB runs this Family Activity Club every Sunday on school term dates between 11.30am and 2.40pm.

NESAB families use each other’s expertise and knowledge in teaching children the subjects of Quran, Islamic Beliefs (Aqaid), Islamic laws (Fiqh), Islamic History (Tareekh), and Islamic Ethics (Akhlaq) in a structured school-like manner

Classes are taught in English.

All Shia Muslim children of 5-15  years age, who live is North East and whose parents can commit regular and punctual attendance are welcome to join this Activity Club. Parents are required to stay in the building during the lessons and also join the whole group in common sessions, including prayers for supervising their own children.

NESAB is an Unincorporated Association, and works closely with the Anjuman e Husainiyah charity.
