Castleside Day Hospital Dementia Support Service – Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW)

Castleside Day hospital has 25 places available based in the grounds of the Campus for Ageing and Vitality.

It is for older people who are over 65 with mental health or psychological problems, such as Alzheimer’s disease, amnesia, anxiety, delirium, dementia, depression or psychosis. The service gives support, care and treatment. The aim is to help people to continue to keep their independence in the community and to have good mental health.

Referrals: GP to the older people’s mental health team.
