Royal National Institute for the Deaf (RNID)

The Royal National Institute for the Deaf (RNID) help deaf people and people with hearing loss or tinnitus with practical advice about hearing loss, tinnitus and hearing aids. You can use their online:

  • hearing checker where you can find out if you’re experiencing hearing loss
  • information tool where you can answer a few questions to get information or ask for more help
  • webchat with an advisor
  • option to arrange a British Sign Language (BSL) call with an advisor

RNID was formerly known as Action on Hearing Loss. They’re a charity making life more inclusive for deaf people and those with hearing loss or tinnitus. They campaign for an inclusive society and fund research to for new treatments for hearing loss and tinnitus.
