Sugley Dene

A semi-natural ancient woodland made up of Oak, Ash, Beech and Sycamore trees. It is home to a variety of wildlife and woodland birds. Parts of Hadrian’s Wall run through the North part of the Dene and falls within the World Heritage Site. The Hadrian’s Way national trail and cycleway runs to the south of the Dene.

Sugley Dene is popular for dog walking and bird watching.
