Teakisi is an award winning community resource, creating programmes that deliver impact. Their programmes focus on race and gender inequality, but they aim for social justice in all areas.

They cover 3 types of services including: Community Resource, Digital Media Skills and Inclusive Recruitment.

Teakisi supports and empowers African women to connect with the wider community. They have run:

• courses such as Digital skills, social media, blogging
• coffee meet ups to socialise and meet new people
• outreach programme
• events and activities
• Black History Month conference: to celebrates the culture and heritage of Africa and people of African descent. Gives the opportunity to network, share experiences and learn from each other.
• BestVersion: mental health support for black men, their families, carers or ”Trusted Others” affected by a suicide or suicide attempt
