Gosforth’s Wild Web: Wildlife Walk at Wallsend Burn

Wednesday 3 June 2026
1.00pm to 3.00pm
Natural History Society of Northumbria
North Tyneside

Join us for a guided walk around Wallsend Burn and Willington Gut, home to the only remaining middle saltmarsh community on the River Tyne.

Together we’ll explore the many varied green spaces along the burn in search of birds, insects and other wildlife found in this unique environment.

We’ll also record our sightings as part of Gosforth’s Wild Web, helping to build a better understanding of the wildlife found across the area. Please bring sturdy footwear and waterproofs if needed.
