Black History Month Lecture: North East Coast Exhibition, 1929, Racism and Anti-Racism
Saturday 10 October 2026
12.00pm to 1.30pm
All Newcastle
This event, led by Don O’Meara of Historic England and Beverley Prevatt Goldstein of the African Lives in Northern England Project links the North East History and Black History as indivisible. Talks, slides, discussion will be complemented by Caribbean snacks. It is an event for all, it is an example of working together to challenge the racism of “A Human Zoo”, an example that is badly needed in these challenging times.
