Employability Roundtable

10.00am to 1.00pm
Newcastle Carers
Byker

Join our Employability Roundtable to share your experiences as a carer in work or looking for work.

We are hosting an Employability Roundtable for carers and professionals to come together and share experiences about caring and work.

This event will allow you to speak honestly about your experiences as a carer in work/looking for work, and will help employers and organisations to make their workplace more carer-friendly.

Hearing directly from carers helps employers understand why it is important to recognise carers in their workplace, and why adaptations are so important.

Join our Employability Roundtable on Wednesday 26 November, 10am – 1pm at Newcastle Carers Centre in Byker. A free light lunch will also be provided.

Information for carers:
  • To book onto the Employability Roundtable, or to find out more information, please get in touch with us. You can email [email protected] or call our Carers Information Line on 0191 275 5060.

  • Obtain insights into supporting carers back into the workplace
  • Gain practical tips to create an inclusive environment and recruitment process for carers
  • Explore what carers look for when applying for jobs
The Working for Carers project

Our Employability Roundtable is organised by the Working for Carers project – a partnership between Newcastle Carers, North Tyneside Carers’ Centre, and Carers Northumberland. It is funded by the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, with the North East Combined Authority as the lead authority.
