10.00am to 12.00pm
Natural History Society of Northumbria
Ouseburn

Join NHSN Senior Naturalist, James Common, for a friendly, informal walk exploring the fascinating trees that thrive in Newcastle’s urban spaces.

During this session, we’ll take a closer look at the trees of Heaton Park, including both native species and exotic varieties introduced for their beauty and interest.

From exotic laurels, curious hollies and a few pesky poplars, there will be plenty to discover and enjoy.

This will be a relaxed, exploratory walk. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. You may also wish to bring binoculars or a hand lens, as well as snacks or a warm drink in a flask.

Please contact NHSN for details of meeting place.
