This course is for anyone who identifies as a woman, aged 11-19, who has experienced domestic abuse.

The learning outcomes for the course include:

To recognise types, signs and patterns of abusive and controlling behaviours.
To understand the cycle of abuse and why victims stay.
To recognise that power and control is the cause of abuse.
To gain an understanding of domestic abuse including coercive control and cyber abuse.
To gain an understanding of the law and how it relates to domestic abuse, sexual abuse and consent.
To gain knowledge on trauma responses and how this affects behaviour.
To assess whether relationship behaviours are healthy or unhealthy.
How to increase and sustain positive self-esteem, boost confidence and assertiveness skills.

Drinks and refreshments will be provided. Each participant will be allocated a 1.1 worker throughout the course, providing a robust support plan to ensure all young women feel comfortable and safe.
