Teenage Safe 4 Life Course

This course is for anyone who identifies as a woman, aged 11-19, who has experienced domestic abuse.
The learning outcomes for the course include:
- To recognise types, signs and patterns of abusive and controlling behaviours.
- To understand the cycle of abuse and why victims stay.
- To recognise that power and control is the cause of abuse.
- To gain an understanding of domestic abuse including coercive control and cyber abuse.
- To gain an understanding of the law and how it relates to domestic abuse, sexual abuse and consent.
- To gain knowledge on trauma responses and how this affects behaviour.
- To assess whether relationship behaviours are healthy or unhealthy.
- How to increase and sustain positive self-esteem, boost confidence and assertiveness skills.
Drinks and refreshments will be provided. Each participant will be allocated a 1.1 worker throughout the course, providing a robust support plan to ensure all young women feel comfortable and safe.
