Bereavement Services Office – Newcastle City Council

For deaths in Newcastle upon Tyne you must register the death at The Register Office.  Ring to make an appointment.

Those who can register a death are:

• A relative.
• A person present at the death.
• The occupier of the premises where the death occurred if he/she knew about it.
• The person arranging the funeral (not the undertaker).
