Curious Arts

Curious arts is an arts charity that supports, promotes and helps develop LGBTQ+ artists. They run various projects, groups, exhibitions, festivals and are involved in many LGBTQ+ networks.

This includes:

Newcastle Youth Groups, Free creative meet ups for LGBTQ+ /gender non-conforming young people aged 11 to 15 years old.  A safe space to meet new friends, try out new art and take part in fun creative activities. Every 3rd Saturday of the month 2-4pm

Youth Music Group (12-18 year olds) – The group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings at Dance City, Newcastle from 5:30pm-7:30pm (optional jam session until 8pm).

They are also the co-ordinator of:

Curious Festival, a festival celebrating LGBTQ+ arts, music and culture,

Queer Arts North, a network of arts organisations supporting LGBTQ+ arts, artists, organisations, venues and festivals across the North of England.
