Nourish Food School

Nourish Food School is a Social Enterprise and operates as a mobile cookery school binging cooking skills and food education to the general public, schools, communities experiencing disadvantage and businesses in Newcastle and the surrounding areas.

Some services are free of charge and others have a small charge. Working in partnership with other organisations across Newcastle we use community spaces and are always open to bringing our services to new venues. Currently we have hubs at Fareshare-Wicker Chair Cafe in Westerhope, Ouseburn Community Centre, Fenham Library and Heaton Baptist Church.

Their services include:

  • free Jamie Oliver Ministry of Cooking classes in partnership with FareShare North East
  • free weekly community cooking sessions at Heaton Baptist Church
  • free food coaching for people experiencing food insecurity, recovering from addiction or caring for someone in recovery.
  • Kids cookery classes
  • Themed cooking masterclasses for anyone
  • Foodie Team Building events for local businesses

We welcome local people to volunteer at any of our workshops
