Hatton Gallery

The Hatton Gallery has a permanent art collection on display which includes paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings including the iconic Merz Barn Wall by Kurt Schwitters, one of the most significant figures in 20th century art. It also hosts regular family activities, events, exhibitions and Newcastle University student’s work every year. Donations welcome, admission free.

It is one of 9 museums managed by North East Museums.. It’s also a designated Safe Place for people with learning disabilities.
