Hope Beyond borders
Hope Beyond borders support refugee or asylum seekers in Gateshead, Newcastle and Sunderland. They help with welfare advice, legal support, and advocacy in different languages
- Welfare Advice & Advocacy – housing, education, healthcare, and financial support
- Legal Support & Immigration Assistance – help with family reunification, work permits, National Insurance Number (NIN) applications, residency guidance, and access to legal aid services
- Food & Well-being Sessions – Weekly welcoming community sessions with food support
- Employment, language, health & well-being – linking people with organisations providing English courses, jobs and skills, mental health support and physical wellbeing
- Hike, Collect, and Connect Walks – Learn about recycling and how to connect with nature as a community.
- workshops, actvities and resources on climate, food and hygiene.

Sunderland: Tuesdays – 9am until 1pm – 22 Atheneum Street – SR1 1DH
