Macular Society

The Macular Society supports people affected by macular eye disease. They provide free information and advice online. They have a free confidential telephone helpline. They also provide:

• monthly local support group which meets at Newcastle Vision Support
• telephone befriending
• counselling
• skills for seeing
• access for treatment
• Genetic Support Service

The Newcastle upon Tyne Support Group meets monthly except in May, August and September.

The Macular Society is a charity. Many of their services are free. You can pay to become a member of the society.
