The shelter objective is the promotion of kindness and prevention of cruelty to animals. They try their best to reunite lost animals with their owners. However where this is not possible or the animal is no longer wanted, they provide care and shelter until a new loving home can be found. They mainly care for dogs and cats although they are increasingly being asked to help rabbits and guinea pigs.
They also offer a permanent home to donkeys, ponies, pigs, sheep, goats, ducks and a brood of ex-battery chickens. They are open daily – whether you are looking to adopt an animal or you just want to come and visit to say hello to our donkeys and other animals. Visit their website for up to date opening times.
