Lowry Acute Admission Ward – Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW)

Lowry is a 16 bedded ward based at the Hadrian clinic in the Campus for Ageing and Vitality grounds.

It is for women over 18, who are having a set back or are in crisis with their mental health and need a hospital admission. A hospital admission gives people who are unwell a safe place where they can receive support, care and treatment, so they can recover as quickly as possible.

A request to be admitted to the unit can only be made through the Crisis and home based treatment team who will consider other options before admitting a person to hospital.

The inpatient staff team include: specialist doctors, nurses and other health care workers.
