Reviving the Heart of the West End (RHWE)

RHWE run projects that support people into business, self employment, enterprise, education and employment such as:

  • How2 start your own business is for budding entrepreneurs who want to take their first steps into self-employment or business ownership, along with bitesize and practical advice to help you every step of the way.
  • Scholarships: for West End residents studying for a college or university degree (no age limit, but it must be your first level 4 to 6 qualification)
  • Work experience and volunteering opportunities and one to one support to get you into employment, education or training
  • Let’s Talk English conversation sessions to support non-English speakers in everyday conversations and improve self-confidence
  • Learn to Sew sewing, friendship and giggles all whilst learning a new skill
  • A Day In the Life meet the people who are actually doing the hiring and hear—straight from the source—what skills and qualities they’re looking for to get into the role.

RHWE is a Wellbeing Hub. They’re a warm welcoming place to spend time in Newcastle. They offer a range of support such as hot drinks, free Wi-Fi, place to charge your devices, information, advice and more. We also offer a Community larder.
