The RSPCA prevent cruelty, promote kindness to and alleviate suffering of all animals. They provide:

The Newcastle and North Northumberland Branch of the RSPCA promote responsible pet ownership through local microchipping and neutering campaigns. They can also help with welfare assistance costs for your pets.

They rehome both cats and dogs at this branch. For more information about rehoming an animal from this branch please view the ‘rehome a pet’ page. Please note they only rehome animals that enter care via the RSPCA Inspectors and do not have the facilities to rehome animals for the general public.

They have 4 charities shops situated in Byker, Whitley Bay, Alnwick and Wooler. They are always grateful for any donations to keep the shops well stocked.
