Segedunum Roman Fort is an interactive museum on the most excavated fort along Hadrian’s Wall.
It shows what life was like in Roman Britain using:
- Hadrian’s Wall
- a Roman Gallery
- a 35 metre Viewing Tower which gives views across the site and wider area
- special exhibitions and events
- slow museum sessions for people with dementia
Admission charges apply, children under 16 go free.

Then 1 October 2018 – 31 March 2019
Monday – Saturday 10am - 3pm,
Half Terms - open 10am - 4pm during October and February school half-terms.
CLOSED from Sunday 2 December 2018 – Sunday 20 January 2019
