Wellbeing Hubs are warm welcoming local venues, such as libraries and community centres where you can spend time and get support such as hot drinks, free wifi, a place to charge your devices, information, advice and more. You can use our Wellbeing Hub finder to find your nearest hub.

St James’ Church, Benwell Lane

St James church is a large Anglican parish church in the heart of Benwell, with great community involvement. They run:

free lunch on Tuesdays 12pm to 2pm: all welcome
West End Voices
Support drop in for asylum seekers and refugees Wednesdays 10am to 1pm. They offer help with:
- wellbeing
- signposting you to other services in the community
- foodbank vouchers
- volunteering opportunities
- free Wifi Tea and coffee
- conversation and spiritual support
- social time
- time for peace and quiet
