The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army are a faith organisation. They are based at The Salvation Army Worship & Community Centre in Newcastle. See opening hours for times of services. They help the local community with:

• activities for older people
• ‘Singing by Heart’ A dementia friendly singing group visiting residential care homes across the city
• free soup on Sunday at 7.30pm for the homeless
• charity shops selling low cost second hand goods
• Ladies fellowship meets on the last Monday of each month at 7.30pm

National support available:

• Specialist support for adults forced into modern day slavery. This includes a confidential helpline, support fund and mentoring
• Family tracing service: help to find and reunite families
