Safeguarding Adults Unit

The Safeguarding Adults Unit provide specialist advice, support and training to organisations about safeguarding policies, procedures and best practice. They are the specialist team at Newcastle City Council responsible for safeguarding adults and provide advice to anyone working or volunteering in Newcastle.

How to report abuse in Newcastle

If you are told about or witness an incident of adult abuse, are the victim of adult abuse or think abuse may be happening:

• complete an online form
• contact Adult Social CarePoint at Newcastle City Council
• in an emergency or if someone’s life is at risk call 999.
