Angelou Centre

The Angelou Centre offers ‘women only’ support and activities for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) women. This includes:

  • personal development support
  • information, advice and guidance
  • counselling
  • parenting support
  • women’s Cafe and Cookery Club
  • art
  • children With Disabilities Free Expression Club
  • supporting survivors of Honour Based Violence, Forced Marriage, 21st Century Slavery, Domestic Abuse and Trafficking
  • supporting BAME children survivors of Domestic Abuse
  • computer courses
  • English as a second language courses (ESOL)
  • sewing classes
  • elderly women’s group – Mahila Mandal. Meets Thurs 11.00 – 2.00pm
