Community Centre on Armstrong Road in Benwell

  • Shop (preloved clothing and homeware) open Wednesdays between 0900-1200. All items are 50p or £1. This shop is outside and doesn’t open in bad weather. Check their Facebook page for updates
  • Benwell Bridge Community Pantry open every Wednesday from 9am to 12pm.  Membership required. Customers can buy 10 items for £3.00.
  • Corner Kitchen Community café open Wednesdays between 9am and 2pm. Serving very low cost food.
  • Warm Hub OPENING JANUARY 2024 open every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday open 9am to 3pm. Will be providing free tea, coffee, hot breakfasts, soups and warm food to eat in only.
  • Free craft and cookery courses to support mental health. Contact them for more information.
  • The Welcome Project – Weekly activity group for adults with Learning Disabilities. Every Monday at 1pm. Please email for more infomation.
  • Monthly Memory Cafe for people and their carers struggling with memory loss.

Cornerstone is a Winter Wellbeing Hub. They are a warm welcoming place to spend time in Newcastle. They offer a range of support such as hot drinks, food, free wifi, place to charge your devices, information, advice and more. Visit Newcastle.gov.uk to see what’s available at this hub.
