Government Cost of Living Support

The government is paying people on means tested benefits £900 this year to help with the rise in the cost of living. Means tested benefits include Universal Credit and Pension Credit.

The payment will be made automatically in 3 stages. The first £300 will be paid in April/May. The second payment will be made in November. The third payment will be made in spring. Check if you are eligible for this payment on gov.uk.

If you are eligible you do not need to apply. You’ll be paid automatically, the same way you usually get your benefit or tax credits.
