Dementia Connections

Dementia Connections is a service that provides support from Admiral Nurses, who are specially trained to help people living with dementia and their families.

They can:

  • give practical advice and emotional support
  • help people who have just got a dementia diagnosis to supporting carers after someone has died .
  • help you understand dementia and how to cope with its challenges.
  • be your main contact, making sure support is linked across health and social care services.
  • tell you about other useful services and speak to professionals for you.
  • support you to plan ahead and make decisions such as moving into care.

Dementia Connections is run in partnership by Dementia UKAge UK North Tyneside, and Search Newcastle.
