Hand in Hand is a Project of the Newcastle Central & East Circuit of the Methodist Church, working with the socially isolated elderly and those at risk of becoming socially isolated in North Tyneside and Central & East Newcastle with the help of volunteers.
Their services include:
- Wallsend Lunch & Activities & Reminisce Club – meets at Trinity Methodist Church, Station Road, Wallsend NE28 8SA on Tuesdays from 11am to 2.30pm.
- Heaton Activities & Reminisce Club meets at Heaton Methodist Church, Simonside Terrace, Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne NE6 5JX on Tuesdays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
- All of their clubs are held weekly and provide a safe place where people can socialise, encouraging integration and inclusion. The clubs are for men and women aged 65 and over.
