Their services that are usually delivered face-to-face, Counselling, Group Work and Practical & Emotional Support, are being delivered over the phone and in online secure rooms.  Their helpline is open.

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland (RCTN) is a charity that provides sexual violence services to women and girls over the age of 13 who live, work or study in Tyneside and Northumberland.

They provide free, safe, professional support and information for women and girls over 13 who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives.

They offer:

  • face-to-face counselling
  • Telephone helpline
  • email support
  • group work
  • practical and emotional Support
  • specialist information

They offer an inclusive service for women who identify as lesbian, bi, trans and/or questioning; black, Asian, minority ethnic (BAME) and refugee women; and disabled women.

They offer training for professionals who may be supporting survivors of rape and sexual assault.

Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland is commissioned by Newcastle City Council to provide rape and sexual assault services.
