Blakelaw Community Centre

Blakelaw Community Centre is ran by volunteers. There are activities and services that you can use in the centre such as:

  • Mrs T’s Café
  • Community Market selling affordable food Wednesdays and Fridays 10am to 12pm
  • counselling service for men, women and children facing mental health difficulties
  • Post Office and retail shop
  • library with computer access
  • bingo and other community activities
  • learning hive
  • children and young people’s programme
  • nursery provision
  • Welfare rights benefits advice drop in sessions available on Wednesdays 9.30am to 12pm

Moneywise Credit Union have launched a collection point from Blakelaw Community Centre. The collection point is open on Tuesdays between 10am and 12 noon to be open at the same time as the Blakelaw Pantry. For more information please contact Clare at [email protected].

Blakelaw Community Centre is a Wellbeing Hub. They’re a warm welcoming place to spend time in Newcastle. They offer a range of support such as hot drinks, free Wi-Fi, place to charge your devices, information, advice and more. Read more about  Wellbeing Hubs
