Cornerstone Benwell

Cornerstone Benwell is a Community Centre on Armstrong Road in Benwell.

There’s a range of services and activities. This includes:

  • Preloved Clothing and Homeware Shop open Wednesdays between 9am to 12pm.  All items are 50p or £1. This shop is outside and doesn’t open in bad weather. Check their Facebook page for updates
  • Benwell Bridge Community Pantry open every Wednesday from 9am to 12pm.  Membership required. Customers can buy 10 items for £3.00.
  • Corner Kitchen Community café open Wednesdays between 9am and 2pm. Serving very low cost food.
  • Free craft and cookery courses to support mental health. Contact them for more information.
  • The Welcome Project – Weekly activity group for adults with Learning Disabilities. Every Monday at 1pm. Please email for more information.
  • Monthly Memory Cafe for people and their carers struggling with memory loss.
  • Schools Outreach
  • Computer access and support
  • Woodwork for people with dementia or memory loss

All welcome! Cornerstone is a designated Safe Place for people with learning disabilities.

Cornerstone is a Wellbeing Hub. They’re a warm welcoming place to spend time in Newcastle. They offer a range of support such as hot drinks, free Wi-Fi, place to charge your devices, information, advice and more. Read more about  Wellbeing Hubs
